YEAH, PULL YOURSELF UP THAT ROPE
YEAH, DROP A HUGE BAG OF FUCKING ROCKS IN THE BACK
YEAH, THAT GUY IS WEARING AN EYE PATCH BECAUSE HE WORKS HARD, AND DOESN'T WEAR SAFETY GLASSES BECAUSE SAFETY GLASSES ARE FOR UN-AMERICAN COMMUNIST PUSSIES
YEAH, LAY ON YOUR TRUCK, ITS YOUR RED-BLOODED AMERICAN FRIEND.

Still some of the best car commercials ever made.

Definitely, I love old car commercials. They speak volumes about our socio-economic situation at the time, and they just have a totally different vibe than the commercials of today.
I love this Corvette commercial too, it's awesome in a way that I can't easily describe.

One of the best commercials ever! Bob Seger really seals the deal. Everytime I watch it, I want to run off and buy a Chebby truck. But I am European, and I don't even fully understand why the concept of privately owning a commercial vehicle became so popular in the US.
They should play this in every Marketing 101 class!

I specifically want the truck that they dropped the rock bag in, just to see how fucked up the suspension/EVERYTHING back there is.

I miss the 98' K1500 Z71 my parents owned and that I learned to drive in. Got in my first accident in too! Looked like this, but not two tone. Just that blue/green shift paint. Would've been a much better truck if it had the G80 locker too.
But damn, I still think its one of the best looking Chebby trucks.
[memories intensify]

Man lots of chuckles when watching that one. Truly a case study of the era.

This was the best ad campaign GM has ever done for Chevy trucks, to the extent that it still gets referenced as a point of comparison every time they come out with a new one.
